Kevin Melgren and West Coast Style

What once a small niche of lacrosse players in the west coast has now developed into hundreds of boys and girls teams to become the fastest growing sport in the country.

Kevin Melgren a 7th grader from Coto de Caza, California started playing Lacrosse 3 years ago. Having participated in football, baseball and soccer in the past has always enjoyed playing sports, but it wasn't until he experienced Lacrosse did he find his true passion...He was hooked! Currently, Kevin is playing on a Starz team in Orange County.

Kevin and his father Rick saw an opportunity to become an even bigger part of this fast growing sport...a business opportunity to develop a new lacrosse apparel line that would translate and give off a "West Coast Vibe" and give back to the lacrosse community. Their goal was to create clothing that represented the West Coast lacrosse player... "West Coast Style Lax.com" was born.

In addition to creating designs that are cool, fun, and that represent the West Coast lifestyle, they give back a percentage of their profits to the Starz Foundation. They have created LaxArmy.com which is their way of giving back to the lacrosse community by working directly with the Starz Foundation. They will be set up at local Starz events to collect used lacrosse equipment and which will be donated it to inner city leagues and sold at a discount rate through eBay giving.
