The Starz Foundation has created a new program, the "Starz Donation Drive". It has been developed to provide low income and start up lacrosse players/teams with equipment options. With the help of your team and individual donations, teams and players in need of equipment will be given the opportunity to purchase donated lacrosse equipment at an "extremely" discounted rate. Your donation not only provides a child the opportunity to play a sport that might not have been an option otherwise, it encourages lacrosse players to come together to serve the local lacrosse community. The funds raised by the sale help the Starz Foundation and our efforts to promote lacrosse in low income and inner city communities. Prices sold will vary based on need.
How Does it Work?
** Organize a team donation drive.
** Collect Used
Equipment.
** Contact the Starz Foundation.
** We will pick up the
donations or pay for shipping.
What Happens to the Equipment?
** We will sort through the equipment.
** Give away equipment to teams in need.
** Extra equipment will be sold through www.starzfoundation.org on
eBay Giving.
Give a child an opportunity to play lacrosse, a sport we love. Help the Starz Foundation promote lacrosse in low income communities
You can also help by selling your used equipment on eBay directly from your home. The Starz Foundation has linked with eBay Giving which allows you to sell your equipment online and the profits go directly to the Starz Foundation. This option is open of players, family and programs that are familiar with eBay.
Project Twenty10
In 2010, the new stick regulations passed by the NCAA will
go into effect. MCLA through DIV I players will no long be able
to use the majority of their heads. With that in mind and in
partnership with the Starz Foundation and Chapman University
Lacrosse, we have founded Project Twenty 10. The Goal of the
project is to collect NCAA "illegal" heads in any
working condition from college players and teams from across
the country, and then make them available for $5 each to high
school and youth programs in need. All money collected will
benefit the Starz Foundation.
Don't let these heads sit in your closet! Help thousands of
players enjoy the same game that we all love.
